Natural Gas service is delivered to your property through a buried network of gas mains located in streets, alleys, and right-of-ways, connected to a service line on your property up to your home or business. To avoid serious accidents which can occur when gas lines are punctured or broken, you should know where gas service lines are located if you plan to excavate or build. BY LAW, dwellings, garages, enclosed porches or other buildings MAY NOT BE CONSTRUCTED OVER GAS LINES! For safety, gas lines must be accessible for routine inspection and maintenance. Someone will inspect and repair any damage immediately. The pipe coating provides corrosion protection and damage to this layer may cause a future leak.
