Great Plains Natural Gas Co. is a division of MDU Resources Group, Inc. (NYSE:MDU), an investor-owned company headquartered in Bismarck, North Dakota. Great Plains Natural Gas Co., with general offices in Fergus Falls, Minn., and a district office in Marshall, Minn., began operations in 1966. The company operates as both a local distribution company and a transporter of natural gas to industrial, commercial and residential customers in 19 Minnesota and North Dakota communities.
